The classification is based upon: Hofker, Jan, 1957: Foraminiferen der Oberkreide von Nordwestdeutschland und Holland, Beihefte zum Geologischen Jahrbuch, Beiheft 27 Page 91.

This specimen is classified as Cibicides rather than Gavelinella or Gavelinopsis. Hofker describes Gavelinella as having no or only a few pores on the dorsal side. A central deepening is not developed and the ventral side is flat, as commonly with Cibidices.
