Gavelinella sp.3 more Taxon Profilefound in Brunswick County, North Carolina, USA in material provided by Eric M Sadorf, North Carolina Fossil Club Island Creek Member, Peedee Formation, Maastrichtian, Cretaceous Umbilical view of one specimen of Gavelinella sp. the image may give the impression of a flat umbilical side, but it is trochospiral convex. The specimen resembles Gavelinella pertusa (Marsson, 1876) as described by Hofker, 1957. Size in the upper Maastrichtian of Germany reduced to 300µm.
